I ship Derek and Stiles like the fangirl I am.
I regret nothing.
NOTHING, I SAY!

and there was a cake decorating class starting in the back of the store and I was super excited because DAMN I had never seen a real cake decorating class before!
So I asked my dad if he thought I could do it and a kid who was murdering a piping bag with kung-fu grip looked at me with this face and said “It’s really hard to do, you know! It’s not as easy as it looks.”
And I kinda’ just looked at my dad and he looked back at me and then we laughed, high-fived and left the store.
And then I came back because fuck I have to pay for this rolling pin don’t I.

I decided about a year ago that I would have 3 sons and 1 daughter: Sam, Dean and Logan.
And my daughter will be named Fondant Gumpaste Modeling-Chocolate. The third.
Finished my edible Marshall Lee figure for the Land of Aaa cake!
Any cake decorator can tell you that plaid is a real pain in the arse. But eh. Didn’t want to cheat with a flat color shirt. Oops.
He came out pretty on model… except for a few artistic liberties I took to give him a bit more detail. And an under cut. But I saw some fan art for him with that hairstyle and thought it looked adorable. Fight me. Don’t fight me for I am a fragile freckled tiger lily.
Hope he meets the fangirl’s standards or we are going to have a riot on our hands.
An uber curvy, sword-brandishing Fiona is next and then the cake concept sketches. (So ass-backwards.) You can also see a full high-res photo of the Gumball figure HERE.

It was a camera phone pic at first.
Have a picture of Jensen Ackles sweet cheeks as sorry:

Oh gawd, THANK YOU.
I finished him this afternoon, looked at him, then back at some fan art and smacked my dang forehead because he WAS GREEN.
And I’m looking at my Blue-ish Marshall Lee like I wanted to cry because he literally took 4 days to do.
Thank you so much! I’m happy now.
Y’all can see pictures of Marshall Lee finished (and with a body) tomorrow!
(Next is a re-did Fiona in an action-y pose. Yay!)
Marshall Lee is Greenish. Not Blue-ish.

(Or is he?)
P.S: He also has an undercut. Why? BECAUSE WHY-NOT, THAT’S WHY.

Just another day at the bakery. This week, dozens of Mr. Slate (I’m old enough to recall the Flintstones!) heads were made to top cupcakes for an order.
Ordered by the girlfriend of a er, Mr. Slate look-a-like for his birthday.
My edible Prince Gumball figure for my genderbent Adventure Time cake coming up. I think he came pretty close to the show’s specs if I do say so myself. But then again, I love myself so I think everything I do is great.
I am really not.He took incredibly long for such a simple style. I suppose it’s because his legs and the fact that he had to be supported on such a skinny ‘skeleton’ (Skewers, chocolate and wire)
Marshall Lee is next! And then Fiona and Cake.
EDIT: No, that’s a gumball in his hands! Made from fondant. Sillies.
Liked my edible Prince Gumball figure?
Look for Marshall Lee this week! That’s right, continuing this project this week oh yeah.

I can share one if you’d like!
When cakes come out more dense, it’s because your recipe either lacked a leavening agent or had too little. Leavening agents like baking soda and baking powder add rise to your cake, making it less rubbery and dense and adding crannies to your cake. Baking soda is a base. It needs an acid to make it start a chemical reaction that makes it rise, like cocoa powder or lemon juice and lots more.
Sure you probably think “Oh man, baking soda is the good stuff! I should add lots!” NOOOO. It will be super bitter.
Instead add baking powder. It will add RISING POWER-OWER-OWER-OWER-ower!! and it won’t add any bitterness. General rule of thumb is there should be 1 tsp Baking Powder or 1/4 tsp of Baking Soda per 1 cup of Flour.
(Science was my favorite class in school.)
OH YEAAAAAAAH SCIENCE!
GUESS THAT CUPCAKE!
To prove that I am actually being an active part of this project, have some sneakie peekies from last week’s Club Nerd Cake.
Hint: It is the most requested cupcake in Nerdache-Cake’s short history and the most elaborate to date.
Can you guess next week’s Request of the week cupcake?
Hm let’s see I mean- GAWD YES YES A THOUSAND TIMES YES. I think we shall declare next month NOSTAGLIA CARTOON MONTH.
